I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and qualified supervisor #MH18293 in the State of Florida, a Masters-level Certified Addiction Professional #MCAP100797, and a Certified Behavioral Case Manager Supervisor by Florida Certification Board. I graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York, NY with a Master of Education degree in psychological counseling specializing in mental health counseling.
I see myself as an inspiration to others who want to progress in their lives. I empower people to recognize and reach their potential and overcome barriers that hinder success. I understand that life comes with its struggles and challenges leaving us to react and respond in ways that contradicts our goals and intended outcomes. Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, substance use, and poor relationships, as well as, mental health issues, physical health issues, self-esteem issues, and identity issues are some of problems we may face that can affect our quality of life and ability to function at a desired and expected level. I am committed to helping you work through your toughest predicament in life. I believe in resilience and the strength of the individual. I also know that sometimes it takes someone else in our lives to guide us to the right path and support us down that path until we are ready to thrive on our own. Learning from life, being driven to reach my greatest height, and failing to fail are a few things that define my character. I have always been on the frontline knowing I was a person who can make a real difference in people—in the world. I am proud of who I am. I am proud of what I have accomplished, but this pales in comparison to what I am capable of. Throughout my life, I have done great things. I am made to do even more. My greatest contribution to society is my genuine honesty and my strong desire to do whatever it takes to help the community rise up and beat all odds. I have learned that my vision has to extend far beyond what I can see. This has always been the source of my motivation. This is the message I hope to send to others.
